  • 2021-02-12 - Milestone 2 - Soft Freeze
  • 2021-03-12 - Milestone 3 - Hard Freeze - for key packages and packages without autopkgtests
  • TBA - Milestone 4 - Full Freeze

See also https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-a ... 00002.html & https://release.debian.org/bullseye/freeze_policy.html

And the name for the next testing branch after bookworm (which will eventually become Debian 13) is trixie.

Thanks Head_on_a_Stick.
Apparently KDE devs are trying to get Plasma 5.20 in before the freeze. Fingers crossed! 5.19 was recently included.

Right on schedule!

Sounds good. I keep hearing about the 'completeness' of KDE yet have never tried it since I'm a anti-distro-hop kinda guy. I might build up a QT contaminated KDE and see for myself!

My boring xfce bullseye is doing well. There are still a few gtk things that need ironed out but I'm liking this more than buster. I kinda thought xfce got worse under buster, now better. I'm hoping to consolidate everything to bullseye by the freeze, don't see an issue so far. I aborted consolidating to buster.
