Make command not working

Hi All,

I am getting the error:

make :command not found.

I have install automake-1.9 and cmake...

Could any one explain me why i am getting this error

You didn't install the 'make' package, which contains the 'make' command. automake provides the 'automake' command, and cmake provides the 'cmake' command, neither of them have anything to do with traditional 'make'

thanks it is working...its a great help for me as i was not able to decide which make package to install so i tried these two.
