Has any offical word come from the top developers on the release date.
I was so excited about the october release. That is when i was going to get alot of my friends to change over to linux. Going to promote debian as much as i can.
So it must be stable if they say that on the offical websitestable
The "stable" distribution contains the latest officially released distribution of Debian.
This is the production release of Debian, the one which we primarily recommend using.
The current "stable" distribution of Debian GNU/Linux is version 4.0r4, codenamed etch. It was released on July 26th, 2008.
that is a long way away. Is there alot of bugs in the system they have.Lenny will be released around June 2009.
