How to make a debain packages from SOURCE

Postby ankitsahai85 » 2008-12-15 11:41

I have downloaded gcompris-8.4.2.tar.gz and extract it on the desktop. After that i have copied pa.po file in pa directory and a pa folder (having new voice files) inside voices folder. Now I want to make a debian package of this so that the new files which i have added are also include in the new package.

Please help me in doing so...!!!! :?: :?: :?:

Many developers are always looking for translation help. If you did it in a manner acceptable to them, you shouldn't have much trouble getting your work into the official release. If it's really well done, you'll probably be inundated by others wanting help as well. Contact the gcompris maintainer ... and, for Pete's sake, change the spelling of Debian in your thread title.
