KDE 4.3.0 has been released.
This is the one that I've been waiting for, to try as my first KDE4.
I hope it gets released into Debian Squeeze soon, because I don't care to install it from any other repos.

Re: KDE 4.3.0 Released
I've been using the betas and RCs for a while and it was fine. I'm compiling the final version at the moment .
Because let’s face it, the unfortunate aspect of software development is that it involves humans. Mewling, disorganized, miserably analog humans. Sometimes they smell bad.

Re: KDE 4.3.0 Released
It's already in sid's repositories. There's still a bug which might make copying/moving to stop as the widget that displays file transfers can be crashed... but it does not happen by itself. To invoke this bug start a file transfer than drag the transfer plasmoid that shows the progress on to the desktop. After that you need to click on the lower "link" icon and than on the upper "link" icon (the one that puts the transfer plasmoid back in the system tray) and bang, plasmoid crashes. But if you click just on the upper "link" icon the plasmoid returns normally to system tray without a crash, so the lower button is responsible for triggering the bug.
One other bug I encountered in RC, related to user switching, is resolved.

Re: KDE 4.3.0 Released
My initial impressions is that I like. I think may even go back to KDE

Re: KDE 4.3.0 Released
I've been running GNOME and thought I would try to run KDE as well ( on unstable/sid) and see that kde-apps is declared as broken in my aptitude. I cannot get even kde-minimal installed. I guess I have to wait until some dependencies are sorted out. Darn....
