Python Errors during Sid upgrade (issue should be solved)

Postby nadir » 2010-04-21 09:50

Today upgrade result:
Errors were encountered while processing:
python2.5-minimal
python2.5
python2.5-examples
idle-python2.5
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration *

I checked the bug-reports (without results) and have got no time to investigate it atm.

python:
Installed: 2.5.4-9

Just an info/warning.

Saw some message but it scrolled by too fast. Seems it did upgrade though.

# apt-get dist-upgrade

Looking in /var/log/apt/term.log I see

I commented line 180 ( rv = 1) and 182 ( return rv) in py_compile.py and the upgrade went thru. Might be scrolling up and actually do the reading would have been better than repeating the option -f again and again. :-). Not sure if that was the proper way... i guess i will see. Looks rather like harakiri in my eyes.

Thanks, craigevil, you saved my day.

Edit: If i run into trouble with that solution i will add them to this post.
