Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 updated

#1 Post by Telemachus »

From the announcement:
Joey Schulze wrote: The Debian project is pleased to announce the fifth update of its stable
distribution Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 (codename "lenny"). This update mainly
adds corrections for security problems to the stable release, along with
a few adjustment to serious problems.
See the announcement for more details.

The worst infection of all, is a false sense of security!
It is hard to get away from CLI tools.

Me either. The 5.0.4 update took almost a week to show up.
I have Apt-Cacher NG installed to catch the .debs , and use Jigdo to update My .iso. Works really well for me.

When I performed my upgrade, I got upgrades for every package shown in the announcement. I think 5.0.5 is there in the repositories now.

When trying to pull the 505 torrents from http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/5.0.5/i386/bt-cd/ I'm getting

Tracker error: "Requested download is not authorized for use with this tracker"

The tracker is http://bttracker.debian.org:6969/announce

DHT on the other hand is working just fine. :)

EDIT: The tracker no more gives this error as of 1st of July. Great!
