According to this doc http://wiki.debian.org/LDAP/OpenLDAPSetup
slapd should ask you for dns name and organisation etc. With squeeze for me it didn't and just created a root dn called "noname." Is this the norm? Can this be changed? It caused great confusion when I was originally setting up ldap for the first time.
