I'm not sure if you guys already knew this announcement or not, but it seems that the release of sarge as the stable release of debian will be done in a very short time (apparently there's already been a code freeze).
Also if you read the announcement to the end you'll see that the new unstable release will be really cutting edge with great changes (gcc 4.0, xorg 6.8.2, python 2.4), so there goes that broken myth that debian is not on-pair with new stuff.
So please share your oppinion on these matters :)

Great news, thanks for sharing. Hmm... hopefully unstable will be as stable as it has been the last couple of years :D

Hopefully that release date (30 May 2005) will be accurate ;)

Can't wait for my unstable to get all that new stuff after the release :D

On irc.debian.org #debian the topic says that the release of Sarge has been resceduled to 6-6-2005.
