I switched to using Thunderbird a while back.

$ apt-cache policy icedove
icedove:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: 3.1.16-1
Version table:
8.0-1 0
1 http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ experimental/main i386 Packages
3.1.16-1 0
500 http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ unstable/main i386 Packages

The Debian Mozilla team provides various versions of some Mozilla related packages for use on different Debian systems. The following wizard helps you to find the packages suitable for your system.

« I am running Debian and I want to install version »

You need to add the following entry in /etc/apt/sources.list or a new file in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/:

deb http://your-mirror.debian.org/debian experimental main

You can install it with the following commands:

$ apt-get update
$ apt-get install -t experimental icedove
Hm doesn't even look like its in the mozilla.debian.net repo.
Raspberry PI 400 Distro: Raspberry Pi OS Base: Debian Sid Kernel: 5.15.69-v8+ aarch64 DE: MATE Ram 4GB
Debian - "If you can't apt install something, it isn't useful or doesn't exist"

If I wanted to get involved and help fix this situation any Ideas where I could go?
