Debian FTW

#1 Post by shane »

I never thought I would have this much fun with Debian... I haven't been able to tear myself away from it. :) Thanks for all those who have been giving me advice as well I really appriciate it and maybe one day I will be able to give advice rather than seek it all the time.

Thanks again.

Your desktop looks very nice. Could you send this wallpaper to me (hellfire7@gmail.com) or at least tell me where did you find it?

I have to chime in - I have been a long time *nix user (10 years), and since I switched to Debian, my experience has been flawless. Everything friggin works, and it's fast, stable and I love it. Even with Etch, which is a "testing" release, everything is perfect. The Gnome install I have is the best I have ever used. Nothing got installed that I didn't need (Evolution), nothing hiccups, nothing burps, it just works.

Great job Debian team!
