Can "Latest Headlines" be modified?

#1 Post by BowCatShot »

Iceweasel comes with a preset "Latest Headlines" menu item that seems to be fixed to point to headlines from the uk news organizations. Is there any way to alter the source of the news headlines? Is there a list of alternate sources anywhere?

That's a folder of RSS feeds. Iceweasel has menu bookmarks and toolbar bookmarks.

You can disable the bookmarks toolbar completely (right click on certain toolbar elements and it'll appear as an option), remove the bookmarks from the bookmarks toolbar and use it for something else (choose customise from the same menu to edit toolbars, then drag them off the toolbar and into the dialogue box), or go to

Bookmarks -> Show all bookmarks -> Bookmarks toolbar

And edit the bookmarks themselves there.

Any site where you see an RSS logo you should be able to click on it and choose 'Subscribe to this feed using Live Bookmarks'. Not sure if it'll actually end up in that list, but you can certainly move it there afterwards.

If there's one thing Mozilla done right, it's customisability.
The Forum's search box is terrible. Use site specific search, e.g.
https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3A ... terms+here
