I had firestarter left installed on a netbook - it wasn't even configured properly, but there from playing around.
systemd helpfully blocked the boot forever, waiting for network.

Fortunately I was able to remove it using systemd.debug-shell, effectively typing blind into a console flooded with logspam. I don't think this is going to be a smooth upgrade experience for many...

Almost sounds like a race, which is odd, because I thought the whole point of event-based booting was to stop those
