3rd party repos for a jessie install free of systemd

#1 Post by mean_dean »

=================================================

This is the repo of the trios gnu linux distro - http://trios.rs/

They have a great debian respin that uses openrc and is free of systemd.
The iso is available at http://mirror.org.rs/image/

This repo currently only has amd64 packages

Code: Select all

deb http://mirror.org.rs/trios/ mia non-systemd main
Looks like they have added a repo that has both i386 and amd64 packages

Code: Select all

deb http://mirror.org.rs/trios/ mia non-systemd-testing main
=================================================

This repo was created by Adam Borowski who is a debian devel.

This repo has both amd64 and i386 packages

Code: Select all

deb http://angband.pl/debian/ nosystemd main
=================================================

Either one of these seem to work very well with stock debian jessie installs.

I do not believe any preferences/pinning is necessary but doing so probably is a good idea anyway.

These repos allow you to remove systemd, even libsystemd and still install most anything you want without *systemd* getting dragged back in....gnome is probably out of the question of course...
