Debian Jessie on Oracle VM

#1 Post by GarryRicketson »

Yippie yabadabba doo! :D , I just installed Debian Jessie, to a VM, I had been wanting to try it, but did not really want to set up a new partition for it. So a few days ago I installed "Oracle VM virtualbox" to my Wheezy, well it took some reading and "startpage.com" searches, plus a few questions about using a VM , since I have had no experience with that, but any way, today I downloaded the
"debian-live-8.00-i386-mate-desktop.iso" and installed it to a new VM, everything went fine, it installed with no problems what so ever, I am using it to make this post, it works fine "right out of the box" so to speak. When I installed Wheezy, I had to also install non-free firmware, with Jessie I didn't. I am pretty impressed, GOOD JOB, seems to be working fine.
I am going to get some screen shots later.
Guess that is about it for now.
Edited: I put the screen shots here :
