Iceweasel is back!
I didn't like the switch from "Iceweasel" to "Firefox", so I downloaded a package from the squeeze repositories and replaced some of my icons and installed this extension https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... -branding/. Now I am happy again but I only want the package to provide the Iceweasel branding in the repos.

Re: Icewaseel is back!
Well, I prefer the name, and I have found another way, not sure if that is a good idea, though to add 3rd party repos. Uninstall Firefox first, if you have it and want Iceweasel.stevepusser wrote:Weasely Mcweaselface is my browser's name.

Great! Gonna install this first thing after I install stretch when it comes out. Thank you guys. The script I wrote does suit me for the time being.cronoik wrote:A debian package is also avaiable now https://packages.debian.org/stretch/xul ... l-branding
Re: Icewaseel is back!
Download the package and run it with gdebi or dpkg -i and it runs also with Jessie.

Re: Icewaseel is back!
There are some differences between Iceweasel and Firefox. I use the addon "click and clean", which used to work on Firefox, but no longer works. When you try to set permissions it gives you a blank page that says it cannot find the address. Yet "click and clean" works on Iceweasel. Not sure what the differences are under the hood, but they are there and I continue to use Iceweasel myself.dilberts_left_nut wrote:But ... firefox IS iceweasel ...
