help with tightvncserver configuration

#1 Post by pkladisios »

Greetings! After a failed installation of tightvncserver, every time i type tightvncserver into the command line i get the following "error":

Code: Select all

Found /usr/share/tightvnc-java for http connections.

New 'X' desktop is debian:5

Starting applications specified in /root/.vnc/xstartup
Log file is /root/.vnc/debian:5.log
In addition, i am trying to find out a simple vnc viewer. So far, the viewers i've used (ssvnc, xtightvncviewer) are unresponsive (laggy, scroll bars don't work, fullscreen freezes). Which vnc viwer would you recommend for remotely controlling a tightvncserver windows 7 pc?

Thank you in advance!

edit: Please delete this thread. I was forced to reinstall debian, since it caused me login issues.
