What desktop are you using?

This kind of poll has undoubtedly been done before, but I think it'd be a good time to do it again to get more up to date information.
What desktop do you use? If you use several, choose the one you use the most.

i3wm on desktop and laptops. Mostly because I don't like the bloat on DEs. Not that my devices couldn't handle them, but they're just so... fat. :D

I've been thinking of trying herbsluft or openbox, but I haven't got around to do it yet.

I use GNOME. No reason not to, since it's a complete DE, has everything I need OOTB and my laptop is more than capable of running it.

Another herbstluftwm user.
I hate using a desktop environment, I much prefer window managers.

I use Openbox by the same reason, plus it doesn't change behaviour with every update. I might be running testing, but i prefer my desktop to be stable.

KDE, since version 1.0. Nothing else has enough knobs.
I tried using a couple of other DEs recently, (MATE, Cinnamon) and everywhere I look there's behaviour I want to change and no configuration options.
Why can't I edit the toolbars in every application? Why are normal settings hidden in some obscure gconf key? Reminds me why I dumped everything gnome after 1.6. Simpler != better.
I tried GNOME3 too, for as long as I could put up with it. The UI is just horrific. Client-side window decorations? Hamburger menus? Tiles? WTF? And no obvious way to turn this garbage off.
KDE has plenty of features I don't want too, but at least reverting to a traditional desktop layout is simple.

That and the bundled applications. Kate, in particular, is awesome. A good 90% of my favourite applications are QT.
On machines where the overhead of KDE is noticeable, I run LXQT.

KDE here too. Plasma 5.10 is the most well-behaved DE I've ever used and a marked improvement on 5.8 which is currently in Stretch. Kate and Konsole are excellent. Dolphin is the best file manager ever. I find myself using its F4 drop-down console a lot lately. And of course KDE Connect which integrates some neat phone features such as file transfer and media player control, SMS on desktop, and using phone as a desktop pointing device.

Plasma 5.11.5 is even better :P
I was actually a bit miffed when dolphin replaced konqueror as the default file manager, but it's come a long way since then.
