The same things I do with Windows, but without the frustrating bugs, horrible update system and general annoyance that come with it.
I can play some games, browse the net for memes, watch Youtube, write a story and listen to my favorite music. It is enough for me.

dcihon, that Star Wars scenario is stunning. I thought I waste too much time on a computer. Putting that together must have taken weeks.

BTW, I don't know how long it goes; I got a "foreign host disconnect" after about 35 minutes.

i just someone posting "random ascii art" - unfortunately, they meant "random" as in "random teeanage rant", but i thought they meant "randomly generated ascii art" - i'd love to see that!

Local development without having to set anything up or install stuff (except the occasional non-standard dependency)

a terminal screensaver.

not one of those provided by xscreensaver.
it's a WiP of mine, utilizing the power of xss, urxvt and toilet.

At first, all the fun was being able to do incredible things that were much more obscure/restrained on other OS.
Rescue data from a failing system, recover "infected" usb keys, read region-locked DVD, programming, ...

Now that I consider all those things a given, my experience with OSS systems is boring and I am very happy with that.
On the opposite, each time I touch "popular" systems (MS, Apple), I feel so crippled. Am I spoiled?

[edit]: babbling
