computer go in SUSPEND or HIBERNATION mode that the CPU and Monitor shutoff and with pressing any key on the keyboard I can "wake" the system up where I left off?
I'm using Debian sid if that matters.

To change those settings in KDE you can by right-cliking the desktop, choose Configure Desktop..., then Display and finally Power Control. I don't use a Display Manager anymore, but I remember to have had a hibernation button in the Log Out dialog if you have logged in through a Display Manager like KDM or GDM..
