I don't know if you guys have seen this site: http://www.spreaddebian.com/

You sign up and then put a link on your web site. The link points to Debian.org but it adds 1 to your hit counter on SpreadDebian.com when someone clicks on said link. Kind of a neat idea. Maybe these forums should get an account?

Check it out.

Do a whois and try to find the person behind it, all I found was someone selling a few domainnames (hotmailadress). Note that the site mentioned obviously gets a link and a hit for the counters to function and the 3:d ranked site is run by a known spammer (although less easily spotted these days, he's added some semi-useful content, hopefully his own this time), I wouldn't trust this site but then why not (and why would you trust me).
Debian has a page for banners http://www.debian.org/banners/ although this might be less "fun than the rank battle.
