you can add stuff to the panel with extensions, I added the weather to mine, it sits right beside the calendar....62chevy wrote: Still ticks me off that I can't place anything in the panel.

Re: Gnome 3 - my reaction was not positive
Anybody with 3.4 here can tell is there any improvement on notification mechanism?
Until 3.2 on unstable it's an ass...Users have to hover the mouse to the bottom-right of the screen every few minutes to check things.
It breaks others system tray implementation too ( like Java system tray )

Re: Gnome 3 - my reaction was not positive
I'm confused..
I dont know if continue to use Gnome 3 or fluxbox
Fluxbox is really fantastic, essential and very poor of resources (windows are light like the wind) but i'm curious of gnome future.

Re: Gnome 3 - my reaction was not positive
Why oh why do they make GTK soooo damn ugly. What I have always hated about Gnome desktops is the uglyness of how they use GTK, huge borders and buttons that make it look like the old XP toy interface. Everything is way oversized and overblown for what is actually needed
