What happens the day etch hits

#1 Post by whoopi_cat »

All,

I'm working on an assumption here, and I want to make sure I'm right.

I assume that if I have "stable" specified in /etc/apt/sources.list the day etch is released, that I'll get ALL the new code the first time I do an apt-get -y dist-upgrade.

Furthermore, I believe that if, instead, I had "sarge" specified, this would *not* happen, because I'd start hitting the old-stable tree of my chosen mirrors.

Can anyone verify?

Thanks,
