What would you recommand for good webhosting (FREE + ftp upload) ?

Reliable, durable, ...

Last I checked they give a free 500MB webspace with unlimited bandwith, one SQL DB and a free subdomain (With free domain hosting, if you have one)

If it doesn't have to be absolutely free you can use Godaddy.com
I use them and it only cost about $5/month

How about good, cheap Linux hosting? It'd be nice to be able to run gnump3d and such on the server. (Doesn't matter if it's Debian, Red Hat, whatever)

Maybe the new spam bots are smart enough to filter the threads where the spam could fit in :D
