Why i use bash? BOO! Yes, why? i don't like it because it is bloated. I have read the mksh topic carefully on BunsenLabs, I even wanted to tried it but left for another time and didn't go back doing. µTorrent for Linux
It's a binary client which resembles much with early 2 version series. Once is launched from console , Managed via WebUI localhost. No dirty features or adds are stick to it.
...But is a closed source, we don't know much about inside, i am using for years (though I stopped seeding) but is very lighter on source. The tool isn't updated in ages and apparently seems dead according to a dev.

Well, We're counting None1975 on the hlwm fam on this forum. I have impression that even machinebacon runs hlwm on BBQ. Indeed, herbstluftwm It is not very common but i find enough on the i3 level.

i won't be using it then.
but the server - web client model works very well for me; why keep an expensive gui alive when all you really want is to share torrents.
i'm not sure how transmission-daemon fares in the lightweightness, i was thinking of changing to rtorrent many times.
i remember using µtorrent ages ago, before i switched to linux. in the beginning it was truly lightweight, but at some point they jumped onto the gravy train => adware. and not lightweight anymore. even that must have been more than 5 years ago.

Agree regarding webclient, i find very practical and manageable everywhere.

I used on my past rutorrent, transmission-daemon, ctorrent and utorrent-webui. These are all lightweight but with good and weak points here and there. I agree better on webui than a GUI that consumes a lot of Mem. Tixati, Deluge and qBittorrent were last gui-torrent i used.
I don't seed that much nowdays, but used to do plenty of time 24/7 on #asiandvdclub tracker.

µtorrent 2.* it was the standard application for all torrent admirer before returning to a piece of trash can years later. So yes, it was good time as it lasted.

rTorrent cli or with ruTorrent it is worth configuring and using imho.

Hi, Innovate, good to know it, I see they already are in 7.3 version, I installed the debian client, and the main windows shows as a small square (2x2 inches), so its not working properly in my system.

My experience with google earth linux installations has always been defective, its always needed some tweaks. right now, ive installed 7.1 native and 6.2 wine's working good. And still, wine's versions seems to works smoother..
I like very much wine playonlinux bottles, they works like a plug and play console cartridge, I keep them in raw files images and i add them to fstab when i want to make use of them. It also helps you to keep smaller and cleaner your system installation.
