PeaZip 5.9.0 [file archiver]

#1 Post by giorgiotani »

PeaZip 5.9.0 for Linux was released a few days ago.

The new release comes with p7zip 15.09 backend, RAR5 files extraction no longer requires the additional UNRAR5 plugin based on RarLabs code.

New Linux installable packages now contains a very minimal set of backend binaries, in order to reduce dependencies needed to install the main software package.
If desired, additional backend (*paq, FreeArc, etc) can be added manually after installation from "Optional Formats" package.
Portable packages are not involved in this change and contains all backend binaries as in previous releases.
