#1 Post by fabrixx »

Hi, i use unetbootin to write my iso's but today not work with some QT errors:

Code: Select all

Qt: Session management error: None of the authentication protocols specified are supported
X Error: BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied) 10
After uninstall i see that is removed from testing repos:
https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=unetbootin

Downloading it from Sid i have same error (gray empty GUI)
Compilation give me same error..

Oh, sorry, , no , then I don't know, I do not use Mint, I am using Debian Wheezy.
sorry, I can't be of more help.
Anyway, thanks for mentioning that now, it is usually better to give some details as to what system OS you are using, especially when it is not Debian, most everyone assumes it is Debian , after all it is :Debian User Forums
Downloading it from Sid i have same error (gray empty GUI)
Compilation give me same error..
That made me think you are using Debian,..Any way I don't think that is a good idea, the Debian repos, are for Debian, you need to be using the Mint repos.

Unetbootin has a habit of leaving rubbish from one unetbootin install to the next. Have you tried formatting your USB stick before a fresh install?

unrelated with the issue at hand, but i hope you are aware that Mint LXDE does not exist today:
- the latest official LinuxMint release with LXDE was based on Mint 12 (released on 2012) and with 6 months support (as was usual back then)
it will be now an obsolete system, full of security holes.

There is a more up-to-date unofficial spin loosely based on Mint with LXDE, but then again, it's a matter of trust.
