The best news
Each person providing their data to the agency will receive coupon for a 20% discount in the download (purchase) of next Debian release (valid only for downloads from the official site http://www.debian.org).

My favorite one of all was back something like 3 years ago (maybe 4??), when some delightful soul rewrote the entire Debian home page (www.debian.org) in LOLspeak. I almost peed my pants laughing.

The sad part being that this year's joke took two days to be found by a community that prides itself on being able to react much more quickly than other OSs. And both this and previous April Fools Day jokes are astonishingly close to addressing real issues in the Linux world, such as better publicity, reduced fragmentation and being seen as a community of geeks. I'll go back to my (monitor lined) cave now.

That was a cruel hoax; so many people here had their hopes raised only to be dashed down upon the rocks of reality.
