Your root will smell dirty with firefox presence :D perhaps in the bin, i mean [/recycle bin] would be better for FF.

stop gratifying this a-hole by posting links to his troll blog.

boooooring...
all i can say is, it gets worse the further down you scroll... like, killall commies and such. just dumb.
more violent, intolerant, racist and sexist stuff from the left hand menu bar.

Well, any one can call me a "sissy" or what ever, but I still only use
root privileges when absolutely necessary .
Actually it is not necessary very much, so for using 'su' and logging in as root when requested to is no problem.
After the initial installation of the system, doing any 'post install' configurations needed, and installing the packages I will be using, there usually never is any reason to be using 'su' or 'sudo', if that makes me a "sissy" so be it.
I would rather be a "sissy", then a "idiot" with a compromised system.

.
Increasingly many programs provide blind links leading to remotely-hosted html helpdocs (linked from about:Help or wherever).
The following "preventative measure" when setting up a new system avoids accidental firefox launch by root:
mkdir -m 400 /root/.mozilla

Seconded.

Evolution and natural selection has granted us to pick and choose our battles, as we can pick and choose when to run a tool as a super user.

A selection to pick and choose our battles made us survive to what we are today in civilisation. A choice to only run elevated permissions as and when needed; or a nicely configured sudoers file help users and computers survive attacks in cyberspace (or PEBCAK).

While the troll post did make me chuckle a little, I couldn't help but roll my eyes at it soon after.
