What's your preferred live environment/distro?

I recently created a minimal, custom Devuan live "spin" (personal use) for my thumb drive, and it got me wondering what desktop environment and/or distro everyone prefers to use in a live system.

I'll start: pure openbox-session. I have xfce packages installed, thunar and the like, and I prefer xfce with openbox (ala Crunchbang) for normal use. But, anytime I've used a live environment, it's usually to accomplish one or two very specific tasks, and I've found less is usually more -- and by that, I mean, accessing a terminal is usually all I need.

What's your preference?

EDIT: this was supposed to go in offtopic. I apologize.

I usually turn to MX Linux (comes with Xfce) for live sessions. I'm not picky about the DE/WM because I don't need to boot into a live session all that often.

Edit: I also keep GParted Live (comes with Fluxbox) sitting around on a flash drive.

Moved to Offtopic.

I'v got a tool-stick with wheezy/fluxbox that I've used as required, but is probably due for replacement now.

For sentimental reasons I keep copies of Storm 2000 and Libranet, both based on Debian and both long gone.

I carry around my grml live USB stick (with persistence) at all times — one never knows when one might stumble across an unattended computer...

Best. Live. Image. Ever.

Thanks for that tip! I downloaded Grml and I'm checking it out now. Very nice.

I checked this out the other day -- it's pretty convenient! Thanks for sharing.

Grml and a custom-made Debian live CD (with Xfce and fluxbox).
