News 2018 linux APPS!!(they're really great)

#1 Post by bester69 »

Sorry guys, Im so sorry to dissappoint you :D , as you should already know there is no new linux apps in 2018, they are the same stuff as usually, perhaps in ten or twenty years we can find out any new linux app. Meanwhile sit down, relax and enjoy Gimp, firefox and Libreoffice, and you know..I'll keep trying

Meanwhile Ubuntu kepp being ubuntu, they change wallpaper and some ugly icon, they complile it, and release a new exciting version, this is AMAZING!!, I cant help to wondering how will be ubuntu in five years..

You just aren't looking hard enough jester...

https://packages.debian.org/stretch/debootstick
debootstick is used to generate a bootable image from a Debian or Ubuntu chroot environment (such as one generated with debootstrap, docker export, etc.). This image should then be copied to a USB stick or disk and used to boot any amd64 machine (BIOS- or UEFI-based). The embedded system is ready to be started live (no installation procedure needed), and is fully upgradeable (kernel and bootloader included).
New for stretch :)

Is debootstick a length of 4x2 to hit bester over the head with for not making us some new Linux apps?

^ Form an orderly queue folks

Some more new stuff for stretch:

https://packages.debian.org/stretch/sbsigntool
This package installs tools which can cryptographically sign EFI binaries and drivers.
Go Debian!

https://packages.debian.org/sid/bester-utils
Spams dmesg with redundant information about apps already installed in your system and condescending anti-security warnings.

https://packages.debian.org/sid/bester-systemd-crapout
Systemd unit which runs as root on boot time that pulls in the latest, sexiest and baddest apps directly from git. Personally picked by bester69. They are so good that they will totally crap out your current installation upon next reboot.

...which is of course entirely debian's fault!
It is suffering from B.O.S.S. (Boring Old Shi..Stuff Syndrome)!

Funny, I hear complaints how there are too many new apps for Linux, and the developers should concentrate on improving existing ones instead of creating yet another music player.

Yep, that's the truth. Thanks for break the theory.
Like paint/image editor they just use PS & what else? not even reach 5 brands.
We've GIMP, Inkscape, Krita, Bloom, Pinta, Paintsoft Kaburagi,
Firealpaca(wine), Medibang paint(wine) & 10+ of brands too many of them.
ฺBut even we've a proved that we've that many still they're
going to use proprietary apps compare quality over quantity
for sake of winning arguments. That's winboy's trump card.

*Sigh* it's shame that Bloom is not open source. :?
