Neofetch/screenfetch for your non-Debian system

Seeing as neofetch proved so popular in the 9.4 thread, I was wondering what other systems people were running that they are willing to share here through it. I find it fascinating to see the different specs that people are running and their OSs. I'll start by sharing.

Code: Select all

lysander@lysurfer_viii:~$ neofetch

lysander@lysurfer_viii:~$
This is a netbook, manufactured in 2009, but Slack runs nicely on it. I use Qupzilla for a browser, Abiword for writing, Leafpad for notes and Qmplay2 for Youtube videos. Spotify is pretty slow to start but worth it when it gets up to flying speed. Libreoffice ditto, but I tend to run Abiword instead - and this is an old old version, 2.8.6 from 2010, since 3.x is too glitchy.

Neofetch appears to lack the ASCII art I want, which is a critical flaw, so:

Code: Select all

$ screenfetch
         -/oyddmdhs+:.                steve@perdition

Really nice system you have there, should keep you going for a long time. Uptime is decent too - is this a server?

Gentoo is one of those distros which in the far far future I may toy with. Slackware gives me enough to keep my brain busy with for now. Debian, on the other hand, I don't have to think about.

Good computer name too.

I will look into that and add a Gentoo logo, I'm surprised neofetch doesn't already have one, tbh.

EDIT: no, neofetch does supply a Gentoo logo:

Which version did you try?

Here's mine:

Code: Select all

alpine: ~ $ neofetch
       .hddddddddddddddddddddddh.          empty@alpine
      :dddddddddddddddddddddddddd:         ------------
     /dddddddddddddddddddddddddddd/        OS: Alpine Linux v3.7 x86_64

 `ydddddddddddd++hdddddddddddddddddddy`    Uptime: 4 hours, 21 mins

ddd+`   `/o` :dddddddh/`   `oy-    .yddd   Terminal: urxvtd
hdddyo+ohddyosdddddddddho+oydddy++ohdddh   CPU: Intel i5-4330M (4) @ 3.500GHz
.hddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddh.   GPU: Intel Haswell Mobile
 `yddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddy`    Memory: 1702MiB / 7905MiB
  `sdddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddds`
    +dddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd+
     /dddddddddddddddddddddddddddd/
      :dddddddddddddddddddddddddd:
       .hddddddddddddddddddddddh.
alpine: ~ $
I don't need to use Alpine on this laptop because it's got a reasonable graphics chip so GNOME does well but I do like a slim pstree :mrgreen:

EDIT: and to shake things up a bit, something different from my Arch box:

Code: Select all

Xanadu: ~ $ archey3

And yes, that is my real EDITOR :)
