quoting the classics:
Herr, die Not ist groß!
Die ich rief, die Geister
werd ich nun nicht los.

translation:
Help me Lord, I plead!
Spirits I have conjured, no longer pay me heed.

it seems there's a few reports from america recently, where people

a) install a device that can listen and react to voice commands
b) get outraged by the fact that the very same device is eavesdropping (!) on them. wtf?

this reminds me of a famous poem where a young man learns to do magic from his master, then tries some tricks while the master is away, like making the broom do your housework, then, woe, doesn't know how to stop the broom, and the shit hits the fan.

from said poem, the famous quote.

the article is gold!

"Think about how uncomfortable the millions of people who own these things now feel," Calo said. "The real harm is the invasion into solitude people now experience in their homes."
