Fedora Mounting Error

Postby magikstik » 2007-04-25 06:34

I'm using Fedora Core 6 and my problem is similar to another post, but when I try to insert my jump drive, cd, etc.. it says: "Cannot obtain lock on /meda/.hal-mtab" When I looked at my root dir I didn't have a /media dir, so I made one now it says: "Cannot create mount directory" my fstab file looks like this:

/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 / ext3 defaults 1 1
LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defualts 1 2
devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5, mode=620 0 0
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs defaults 0 0
/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01 swap swap defaults 0 0

I've googled and haven't been able to find a solution, and I went to Anti-Online and some other forums and made posts and no one has been able to help me. Can anyone assist me, I'd really appreciate it.

I think this belongs more in the Fedora Core forums than here, the only similarities between Debian and Fedora Core is GNU/Linux. Otherwise they're almost entirely differently.
