I can just see it now: "I swear I did not say rm / -rf, what I said was rm ./ -rf"!

There is a nice IBM article on how to do whistle recognition. Whistle in different ways to activate custom commands. There is also the tilting mechanism in Thinkpads with an article explaining how to code for it. And lets not forget the tapping recognition! Tap out commands on your Thinkpad. Use unstable programs and have a program that froze? Shake your laptop crazy to make it kill that program. Search IBM technical library for these articles.

I'm reminded of the reverse voice recognition device that Prof Stephen Hawking currently use:

It works on Linux/UNIX network or server.:)

I just noticed that KDE supports voice recognition. In control panel:
Regional & Accessibility -> Input Actions -> Voice Settings (tab). You may have to hit the "global settings" in Input Actions.

Has anyone used this feature of KDE?

KDE also supports mouse gestures which are also listed in Input Actions.
