I need a new keyboard...
I need a new keyboard...
So it was the first hot day in a while and I left my computer to go for a swim in the lake. When I came back my keyboard was all wet and there was a half-melted ice-cube on it. Really confused I asked my beloved mom if she knew anything about what happened. She said "your computer was melting so I decided to cool it off for you". Now I was really confused... Finally I found out what happened. My screen usually goes off after 10 minutes, but I was playing with screen savers and accidentally made a screen saver come on after 10 minutes... a GL screen saver that makes it look like the screen is melting
my mom is really smart until it comes to computers....

I was saying that when I got my monitor out of the dump it was wet, but its all fine now.
Who needs a MS Internet Keyboard anyway- chucked mine out in the storage when Linux would not use the extra buttons!
Arven bids you a good day...

Really? I managed in assigning the extra buttons. So I went to the dump looking for a keyboard... and all I could find was a MS internet KB At least I have all the buttons custom defined to open terminal sessions and stuffperlhacker14 wrote:Who needs a MS Internet Keyboard anyway- chucked mine out in the storage when Linux would not use the extra buttons!

I don't game, and all I have is a ball mouse with an old purple mouse pad. But I don't really use the mouse very often, I can doo pretty much whatever I want by typing, and its faster.actionM wrote:Having a fancy keyboard that cost's more than your grandma's hip surgery seems like it would help your gaming. Unfortunatly it doesn't. But a good mouse and mouse pad is worth a liittle extra cash! I remember almost doubling my counter strike skillz when I got a descent mouse and pad.
Yes, they still makem; and no, they don't weigh a ton anymore; and upgraded to USB, too. Got one myself recently, still love that clickety-clack sound and tactile feedback. http://pckeyboards.stores.yahoo.net/customizer.htmlactionM wrote:...its a 90's IBM keyboard. it's a dorky web site.
they make industrial keyboards, not web sites.
try coming in from the front and then clicking on shop online:

Personally, I would go buy a wireless keyboard/mouse combo. It's just so much more convenient when the keyboard doesn't add to the clutter of the table and can be moved around without having to worry about wires.
However... the Das Keyboard is great; if it wasn't for the price tag on it, I would have definitely bought it over something cheap and gimmicky. It seems like all the cheap keyboards in stores have a shortcut/multimedia button for everything. I think it's just about useless, since i use global hotkeys to access most of the things I want, usually using nothing but the volume buttons on keyboards.
Anyway, I think the keyboard that you should get, if you had the time and qualifications, is this: http://steampunkworkshop.com/keyboard.shtml
I would love to have one of those.
