I knew today about it:

http://www.openwengo.org/ (it is in the repositories too).

It offers video and SMS (none available in skype for Linux) and we can communicate with the poor people that have not surrendered Windows yet (as the programme is for Windows as well) :-)

Has someone tried it? Can we forget about skype?

It works well, with video, for me; I use it to talk to people using Windows and Mac.
