" Working with the Linux and Open Source Communities&qu

#1 Post by jobezone »

Was browsing on http://video.google.com, and when searching for "linux", I found out this video. It's a talk about how Companies can relate to and get profit, free labour and publicity from the open source and free software communities.

Aside historical gaps or even mistakes (like saying Richard Stallman started "the project" in the beginning of the 90's), the speaker is knowledgable on the matter, having written a book for using Linspire.

I think it's time the various open-source and free software communities, including their various volunteers and contributors, to examine exactly who is and who should be steering their software development, and more importantly, their theoretical and praxis development.
