First time at these forums, seems like you guys are a good bunch. I'm by no account a linux guru, but I'm sure i can lend a hand wherever a hand needs lending
I'm from the Gentoo forums, got sent here by someone's signature. I like what you guys are doing here.

The gentoo forum is so busy, but what do you expect, there are more users online on the gentoo forum then there are acount here

The Gentoo forums really are busy, but that's the best thing about them. You can get answers there pretty quickly.
I hope this forum will see similar traffic in the future, once the Debian officials give it their approval and support it prominently.

I only looked for 2minutes or so but all I saw was a maillinglist

AFAIK Debian doesn't have an official forum, yet. Maybe one fine day this forum will be promoted to the official Debian Forum.

I don't know the plans... but what I expect is :
- use this forum as a real scale test
- make changes according to the users
- set it as the Debian official forum

well hi, just joined the forum so adding another nearly noob, i have been using linux for about a year now mainly trying out a lot of distros and now i have settled on 2 debian and simply mepis
