That seems like a very cool program

Recently they started work on 0.6 - at the moment it has saving and loading of all .XAR files, export to JPG, basic printing, full colour editor and most of the essential stuff.

Someone should debianise it.

It seems I was a bit premature - the Xara CDraw engine is still proprietary for now. They are promising a GPL version soon, I hope they do it very soon because this is a very good program and this would be a very good and very easy addition to Debian.
