So that article was published ten years ago. When it comes questions such as human activity on a global scale, you really have to think small. These cleaner solutions only make sense if you do it on a small and manageable scale. Human activity only makes sense if you do it on a manageable scale. We're shouldn't be looking at a runaway scenario that escalates consumption without limits. Mass consumption at the moment is just untenable. It's a terrible situation.
