What does your non-Debian desktop look like?

If it doesn't relate to Debian, but you still want to share it, please do it here

Adobe may be complete and utter bastards but their fonts are the prettiest around (IMO). The monospace variant is particularly beloved by those peculiar people who prefer non-bitmap fonts in the terminal.

Yes, of course. I just do not like their license.

Hmmm, maybe you're right...

Why do evil companies make such pretty fonts? Is it a Faustian thing?

Er, d00d, Red Hat? They're the ones trying to control everything with systemd, aren't they?

Anyway, nice font:

A bit rounded for my tastes but a Red Hat font in an OpenBSD desktop is sufficiently perverse to suit my needs.

Yes, that was the joke :D

Sorry, but as an anarchist I laugh at Microsoft's "licence" and I'm such a bad boy that I even host an Arch package containing the latest Win10 TrueType fonts:

https://download.opensuse.org/repositor ... pkg.tar.xz

^ The hinting is sublime, much better than the lame Liberation "clone" that is usually recommended as a replacement.

Whilst I fully support the FSF and it's goals, I prefer to choose my fonts based on aesthetics, but I do use some open versions:
Code: Select all
Puffy:~$ for font in sans serif mono; do fc-match $font; done
arial.ttf: "Arial" "Regular"
times.ttf: "Times New Roman" "Regular"
Inconsolata.otf: "Inconsolata" "Medium"
Puffy:~$

FreeBSD 12.0-RELEASE. Nice and predictable system! Great replacement for Debian.

Nice move, the same I would do if i get a new machine.
Instead of wondering where to X Linux distro i should go, I'm passing straight on BSD ship. Very late, but better than ever.

I Customized the most minimalistic Debian/Devuan distro, which i will take it forever as a reminder, while i will change very soon one day. I wanted to tell, you've made the right choice, wish you enjoy it, and place anything here :)

Regards,
Nili
