^ Yeah, 9front rocks :)

Debian buster running under vmm(4):

The RC1 installer worked fine, which is nice.

Dragora3 alpha i386

Only for the adventureus atm with lots of bass application still to built yet, not even a dedicated installer.

The packagemanager qi is neat. named after the chinese https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qi . I still call it "chee". :-)
The recipes fetch sources and build packages and allows multple versions of the same package with out interferance. In therory you can build Dragora packages and run them on other dristros without screwing with the default distro. like snaps or flatpak packages but with the benefit of always being able to look at and modifying the source as you do it. Don't try this at home unless you know what you're doing and have read and understood the manual http://www.dragora.org/manual/en/html_n ... ement.html

Dragora 3 has the init scheme divided into 2 parts to make it more reliable.
1 Process number 1 (sysvinit) is limited to manage the stages for boot and shutting down the system, but nothing more.
2 Supervisor service (Perp) The control of services is done using Perp only.

This way if the service supervisor dies the system should still run.

The joke's on me — have you seen what their EULA lets them do?

It came pre-installed on my new Ryzen laptop, I was going to keep it 'cos I've already paid for it but it's annoying me so much I think it will have to go...

CS:GO has pretty much the same framerate under Debian buster anyway.

usb multi-session (boots from and saves to the usb, that can be unplugged once booted, just reinserted to save (more often I don't save, as I store data on HDD/separately), so boot the exact same OS setup each/every time).

vlc top right. Two gkrellm's (one for battery and core/gpu temperatures, another for wireless lan activity). htop running in a non-decorated xterm window. Desktop icons and gkrellm windows positioned to blend in with the background wallpaper.

The only reason it's left now is because the firmware for the E485 is a pile of crap and I'm hoping Lenovo will fix it soon and correct their broken ACPI table.

But I've just found this so it looks like I may have some more drive space soon

Compiled syncterm and have been having some retro-fun visiting BBS's

Image

I've also coded a ncurses tui interface with similar look/feel to mc. Have that running under tilda with F1 set to show/hide that tui.

Image

Where clicking a menu option opens up another tilda tab with that action/program loaded into that tab.

Press F1 and the tui slides away like in Quake, to reveal the gui desktop. Why stick to just tui or gui when you can have both :)
