What does your non-Debian desktop look like?

If it doesn't relate to Debian, but you still want to share it, please do it here

I like Solarized color on term. Also like the awesome as a window manager and his panel.

Next time please make clickable thumbnail to open biger, so we can watch better. Thank you,
Good job ;)

Thanks for the comments. I recently started with awesome and I really like it. I can't see going back to a non-tiling window manager now.

I'm not sure how to make a clickable thumbnail, but here is a link to the full size image.

I use flickr.com as a imagehost too. I like this image host service.
Well, i can see now your photo in original view. Thank you

It look even more clear in full screen :)

...meantime you can use this method.
From View All Sizes

1rst url -- Original (1600 x 900)
https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8255/2885 ... 1dc3_o.png
2nd url -- Small 320 (320 x 180)
https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8255/2885 ... 481f_n.jpg
and will show the image clickable thumbnail like below
Image

The whole url united
Code: Select all

At first looks a bit complicated yes, but isn't very difficult after a couple of tests :)

Edit: P.s. nice start with Awesome WM. I'm sure it will look interesting adventure.

Regards,
Nili

Interesting. I didn't know you could put an image in the display field of a url like that. Thanks for the tip.

This is my Devuan Xfce install (1 of 3 distros on my machine). The other two distros are installed to the SSDs, Devuan is installed to an HDD, hence the custom GIMP added text to the wallpaper. I'm working on 10 (yep, ten) different fiction titles right now. Lotteries aren't cooperating so I've decided to try to get rich writing books, time will tell.

See if you can spot the joke in the 'Shining' text (hint, it appears twice)...

First, the default Devuan wallpaper customized...

Now some easy on the eyes wallpaper customized...

Heres the customized wallpaper if you want it...

What's going on here..... is one a VM in a small window?

How did you get Debian install with only 207 packages? My minimal install is approaching 700! Is it command line only?

Nah, just installing Debian sid to a btrfs subvolume and in the middle of configuring it via `chroot`, it's from a minimal `debootstrap` so it didn't even have a kernel at that stage, hence the small package number -- I've since booted it and installed the entire xorg metatpackage so it's probably way over 500 by now...

Thanks for link links. I may start another thread for this subject. I've gotten my package count down to less than 650, but feel I probably could take it a bit further.

Gratuitous wallpaper scrot showing the rather lovely jgmenu, which is set to pop up when I left click the status box on the far right of the panel:

The desktop is my usual Alpine Linux/dwm combination.
