Today Debian turns 13th!! Congratulations!!! May all of you have a terrific Debian birthday today! And lets not forget to thank Ian Murdock for creating a Debian!!!

type of distribution and listed the goals he wanted to achieve. 13
years later the Debian community will [14]celebrate this birthday
around the world. A lot has happened since Ian's first mail: The
project is lead by its ninth leader and more than a thousand
developers are registered to work voluntarily on one of the largest
distributions of Free Software."

Happy burthday and many thanks to all the debian developers for the wonderful distribution they have created. And let`s hope that we will be happy debian users for many years from now on.

Go Debian! I've used it for maybe 2 or 3 years now and it's the best distro out there for serious work with the best framework for development - look at all the Debian-based derivatives that are now springing up (Ubuntu comes to mind)
