Debian with MATE desktop. Panels autohide. I like the clean look. Icons are KDE Oxygen because I prefer using Dolphin as a File Manager and Digikam for photos.

I have to say, I was actually sad to see #! go. I felt #! actually provided useful- a standalone Openbox setup working out of the box. While I prefer to install Debian and go from there they it was a very reasonable (non bloated, well thought out, nice looking) distro, never hid being a Debian skin and the forums are excellent. I find there's a very limited number of useful derivatives- #! was one, LMDE used to be one before they ditched the update pack rolling release model. Yet to try that one stevepusser packages for but he seems to have some good stuff in there. Good to see #! carries on :)

Another shot of my ever changing desktop (click for full size, the thumbnail doesn't handle the wide res well):

EDIT---

@ NFT5 you can use Dolphin with out using it's icons.. or use caja with the KDE icons if you want... Personally I'm not a fan of icons on desktops, but that's just me :)

Not at all -- "#!++" is an independent project that leverages the good CrunchBang name to it's own ends.

BunsenLabs is a fork of #! developed by the CrunchBang community and it is honouring @corenomial's stated wish that the "CrunchBang" name not be used again.

Nice desktop BTW -- you're still using "fixed" rather than "terminus" as your DWM font though...

Ah, ok. Sounds cool, I'll have to check it out.

Thanks! I may or may not fix that.... we'll see. Terminus is just the default font, not one I picked, I haven't gone through and decided which one to use. As far as I can tell it's 'fixed' because I don't have the xfonts-terminus package installed.

Thanks for your input but for the non-Debian systems we have the "What does your non-Debian desktop look like?" thread.
