I realize that Mepis isn't really Debian...even less so nowadays after the switch to Ubuntu; but the thread did ask what my desktop looks like.

I used to like KDE and XFCE but I have migrated to Gnome.

Here's mine running Debian Etch. I'm really, really happy with what's been done with Etch so far. It's the only version of Debian I've ever got to run *just* the way I wanted it to, or of any distro for that matter.
