IM Software, does this exist?

#1 Post by zargon »

I have longed for some IM software that I could run on my server and enable all my different IM accounts. It would take care of the point of access for all IM, logging them and all that jazz. I could then use a client on my workstation that would seamlessly relay the IMs back and forth to the server and out to the internet. It would also be great if I could SSH into my network and access it via command line, from the server running it or where ever.

Does anyone know if software like this even exists?

I've never used it myself so I'm not entirely sure it's the thing you're looking for, but you can look at bitlbee
