[solved] ath9k wifi not working

Postby khazxz » 2014-01-21 22:15

Hello, i've been trying for the last few hours and still can't find an answer. I've installed the firmware and wicd but still cant find a way to setup wlan0. The hardware is recognized but still no networks are found. A weird issue is that the key to enable/ disable the wifi (fn + f12) also controls bluetooth. Any help would be appreciated!

First of all ath9k does not need firmware-atheros

You may need a newer kernel. Post the output of
Code: Select all
lspci -nn | grep -i network

Just as I thought, you need a newer kernel. You can get it from backports.
