I am frustrated installing wifi on my laptop so until I can get the firmware to work I'm going to purchase a usb device and use that .
I'm running amd64 Debain 7.6 on a Lenovo y50 (I've posted).
Throw me a bone on a USB Wireless stick that works with this distro.

I got the kernel update dated and the firmware installed. Now I can scan wap's. I'm working on connecting to a wap now.wizard10000 wrote:Did you try updating kernel and firmware as suggested in your other thread? If so, what happened?
